“Township state requirements on minutes: They do not need to be verbatim as listed at this link for folks to review. A small section from the link states: “The decision regarding how elaborate or extensive the minutes should be is up to the township board’s discretion. The minutes do not need to record every word of the discussions at a meeting. Minutes should not be cluttered with unnecessary detail that might make it more difficult for someone to review the minutes at a later date.” (Link: At the Annual Meeting, there were so many people in our crowded hall that I could not always be sure who made or seconded motions.
